The cadillac elr is a dramatic and exciting luxury sport coupe powered by an extended range electric powertrain. The extended range electric vehicle (erev) technology enables a driver to do most of their daily driving in electric mode while allowing longer trips due to the range-extending generator. The two-door front-wheel drive elr is powered by erev technology combining an electric motor with 295 ft-lbs of torque, and an 84-hp 1. 4-liter gas engine as an onboard electric generator for 35 miles of electric only range and a total range of more than 300 miles. The lithium-ion battery pack can be charged on either 240 or 120 volts. The aggressive styling includes 20-inch wheels and full led headlamps. Safety features include eight airbags, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and rear vision camera. Available features include premium bucket seats, adaptive cruise control, and advanced safety features such as side blind-zone and rear cross-traffic alerts. The cadillac elr is all-new for 2014.
